Stopping By the Park on a Snowy Evening

Taken in our condo complex tonight. Probably one of my favorite snow photos.
Tonight, after doing some NaNoWriMo writing while waiting to pick up our dinner of pizza and cheesy bread, Louie and I went ventured out to explore the snow. Louie and I headed up to the park for his first romp ever in the snow. I'll write more about his first snow later, but tonight, I'll leave you with one of my all-time favorite poems.

Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
By Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Omgsh I'm SO jealous of that snow!! It's so pretty - that's a great picture! It was 92 degrees today where I live :(

How's NaNoWriMo going?! Are you spending like 2 hours per day on that? I'm very impressed! :)

I love your picture of snow! I'm so sad I won't be seeing any this year because I can't go skiing. Maybe Austin will be blessed with a dusting of snow...

I took a course on frost, and have always been a fan of his imagery. Now, Wallace Stevens? Hardest class on a poet I've ever taken.
