Summer Fades

Summer is fading away, even though it's technically now "fall." These surprisingly warm afternoons are greeted by chilly nights. No more strapless dresses or walks in flip flops for this girl. And apparently a vicious, change-of-season cold has graced me with it's presence.  But the picturesque blue skies, like the ones from that mid-September afternoon, still greet me when I leave at lunchtime to walk Louie. I feel like fall is a transition time. A new beginning arrived for me as I started this amazing new job, but my mindset has also changed. I've lost focus and worry about how clean, or not clean, the apartment has gotten. I've paid more attention to M and Louie. And I'm consciously trying, but mostly failing, at giving my undivided attention to just one thing at a time (i.e., not checking my phone constantly while watching TV or a movie with M). It's not been an easy feat, but I'm trying. That's what counts, right? As summer fades for you, how are you doing with the transition? Both with the weather and mentally...

i'm loving wearing some of my warmer clothes but I know I'll be tired of them way to soon. It's been even chillier here than usual so I've already had to bust out some sweaters! Not to mention my office at work has no heat and they don't plan to fix it...lovely.

Otherwise, I am adoring watching the leaves change as I do every year. Going camping this weekend and hope to get some great fall pics!

Have a great day! Hope you are feeling better.

I think giving attention to M. and Louis is TOTALLY allowed. "A messy house is a sign of a happy family". Just find a happy medium!

I am with you on being more relaxed during fall, I am not wanting to clean and run around the house and organize, I find myself wanting to cuddle on the couch w my boys

I'm with Whitney - I am definitely a summer girl so the arrival of cooler weather is not my favorite. BUT! I do love Christmas so that helps for sure. :)

I LOVE fall!! I grew up in Florida, with one season all year round, so the seasons changing is still a new thing to me. And fall is now officially my favorite time of the year!

I love the transition from summer to fall! Some days it still has been quite warm here, so I am ready for a little cooler weather and more sweaters and boots. I love the feeling of a fresh start that comes with the change of season!
