Two weeks ago today, I took a random Thursday off to spend the day/evening with some bloggers (and friends) who came to NYC for a mini vacation. I always find it so fun to meet bloggers in real life because I already feel like I can be myself around them. (Note: I tend to have a wall/my guard up for a long time with most people.) I met up with
Meghan and her friends from Chi-town, since
Neely's flight was delayed.
We walked over to
Shake Shack in the Times Square location for burgers, shakes, and fries! I had the ShackBurger and a Strawberry milk shake. So tasty!

Then we decided to walk off lunch by heading to Central Park! It was amazing how crowded it was for a Thursday afternoon. But it was also an absolutely beautiful day! When
Neely was on her way to the hotel in a cab, we headed back to their hotel (stopping first for some coffee).

Neely hadn't eaten, so she ordered some expensive, yet really tasty mac and cheese. She was nice enough to share with me... I was obviously hungry again after the massive burger and shake.

We all hung out and chatted. It was great spending time with both
Meghan and

I painted my nails, while they finished getting ready, then we were off to Brooklyn.

Can we just talk about how Brooklyn is REALLY far? But the food was worth it! We drank wine, ate great food, and laughed a lot.

I was sad to have to leave so early, but I knew it was going to be another two hours before I got home, so I made the trek back to Manhattan then to Connecticut. It was so much fun spending time with these women! I can't wait to spend more time with them again, hopefully I'll be heading to Chicago though!

That sounds like a lot of fun...I'm jealous you've gotten to meet so many bloggers and that you live so close to NYC! My husband's family is from upstate NY so we will eventually make our way up there when I'm not pregnant :)
