I'm linking up with Megan today! I haven't linked up with her in a while, and now that Louie is here, I thought I would share some of my trials and tribulations of a puppy.
| Louie and I post-race Saturday |
Always: He's only been with us for a week.
Sometimes: I wish we were still leaving in our old place, especially for the fenced in backyard and extra space.
Always: It feels good to have a place of our own that Louie can live in.
Sometimes: I get frustrated with Louie's energetic moments.
Always: I know that I'm going to love his energy once he's old enough to go on long runs with me.
Sometimes: I wish that I wasn't such a stickler for rules with him a.k.a sometimes I just want to let him snuggle in bed or on the couch.
Always: I know this is what's best to teach him not to jump up.
Sometimes: I wish I could read his mind and understand why he doesn't like to go on walks around the neighborhood.
Always: I know that this is just a phase, and we'll get through it.

Hes soo cute. You being consistent with rules and training WILL pay off-I remember how frustrating, but awesome, puppy stage was!
What a fun link up! I need to try this sometime! I found your blog through Ruthie! Love that you love running, and your new pup is precious!

Adorable!
Haha there's one particular street that Chloe WILL NOT walk down. I have no idea why. As soon as we turn the corner, she puts on her breaks and won't budge. Stubborn girl.
awww i just LOVE ur puppy!!
So cute. We have a not on the couch/bed rule...the bed one gets broken every once and a while and I love it so much!!! :)
Look at your cute little family of 3! :)
Aww he is sooo cute! What a precious family photo :)
I can't handle that last family photo.
JUST. CAN'T.
:))))
Our dog is just turning 1 year old and shes still a handful but shes improved a lot. She has a TON of energy, hang in there!
Being a stickler with the rules is so hard but you're smart to stick with it. At least for the first week!! I think it's a good sign that you feel like Louie has been part of your family for months. It must be love!
I realize he's not a cat... But this whole post is making me wish it was July already when Mr C and I have decided to get our new kitten! Gah!
He is so stinking cute!!! Sometime this summer maybe he and Riley can have a playdate!! Raising a puppy is kind of like raising a baby - lots of work but lots of fun too!!
I love the one about the rules. It's just like parenting kids. There are plenty of nights I would not mind letting the boys crawl in bed with us and sleep but then they insist on it EVERY night, so we just try not to do it at all :(
I love puppies but it has been a long time since I had one...it can be hard! Stick to your guns!
LOVE the pic :)
He's adorable! I'm so glad you have such a fun, energetic addition to your family!
Louie is adorable!

Sometimes I really want a puppy, but I always know that he would be very unhappy in my mini apartment :(
My sister loves Dalmations! She has always wanted one! I can't wait to hear more about Louie. I am your newest follower, in all capacities! Check out my post today at Mostwhatmatters!
My puppy is 4 and as good as he is, I still have some of these issues! He was really hyper when I got home this week and was driving me batty haha. I don't let Weiser on the bed or couch either, and it's a really good decision. Especially if you have to have someone puppy sit for you. You don't want him having bad habits when he is being watched by someone else.
