Nashville Recap with Christin!

I can't believe it hasn't even been a week since I was in Nashville. When I've read other blogger's recaps about meeting their friends in real life, I thought that it couldn't real happen that the people you bonded with over the internet and on the phone, you'd actually bond with in real life, but I'm here to reveal that the rose-colored glasses are actually rose-colored. Meeting blog friends in real life is awesome!

I have to admit that I was extremely nervous flying down South to meet and stay with Christin, her hubby, and hubby's friend, but as soon as they pulled up to pick me up at the airport, my nerves flew away. Christin was just as petite and pretty as she is in real life with a sense of humor almost identical to mine. I still can't get over how much fun we had together.

We headed back to the hotel to change out of comfy clothes before walking over to the race expo.

At the expo, we couldn't believe the line just to get into the expo. And of course we took another picture in front of the sign.

Once we had thoroughly browsed the expo, and picked up our post-race beer bracelets, we decided it was time to wander and carb-load.

Finally, we decided it was time for some beers (water for this girl) and food. So we waited until a restaurant opened by hanging out in a bar. Unfortunately, our meal was most definitely not worthy of photos or blogging about. Let's just say they got multiple orders wrong with slow services. But at least I got some pasta in me, right?

We walked around Nashville a little more before going back to the hotel to find some over-sized slippers before going to bed super early aka 8PM.

Before we knew it, our alarms went off for the 4AM wake up. And I'll recap the race soon, but here's a little sneak peak!

Overall, it was a perfect 36 hours. I'm so so glad that I bit the bullet and booked my flight back in January when we decided to sign up for this race. As nerve-wrecking as it was, it was totally worth it to finally get to spend quality time with someone I know will be a great friend for a long-time. (Yes, I'm talking about you, Christin!)
