25 Before 25 List

On Sunday, I turned 24. I'm one year away from being a quarter of a century years old. How cool is that? But as I sat down to write this, I started to wonder about what I've always envisioned myself doing or accomplishing by the time I turned 25. And my mind went blank.

I knew I wanted to be a good transition point in my career, working full-time. Check!
I knew I wanted to be living with the person that was the love of my life. Check!
I knew I wanted to be happy. Definitely check!

So what else do I want to accomplish? Here's what I've come up with. Some of these things are simple that I know I'll accomplish, others challenge me to do things I love,
but don't make the time for.
  1. Learn to bake french macarons.
  2. Learn to make croquettes.
  3. Make marinara sauce, from scratch using fresh tomatoes.
  4. Read Little Women.
  5. Run at least one half marathon.
  6. Run at least one 10k.
  7. Meet at least one new blog friend in real life.
  8. Cook/bake 25 recipes that I've pinned to my Pinterest board.
  9. Do one outfit post a month.
  10. Buy a new purse.
  11. Take a writing course.
  12. Spend 24 hours without my iPhone (aka shut off).
  13. Go to another Yankees/Red Sox game.
  14. Plan a fun activity or date for M and I once a month.
  15. Go on a vacation, even if just for a weekend.
  16. Sketch in my sketch book every day for a whole month.
  17. Go running, just because.
  18. Have a Taco Bell date night with M.
  19. Say no to something I don't want to do without feeling guilty.
  20. Go to church.
  21. Start a tradition with M.
  22. Submit 5 stories to Chicken Soup.
  23. Take a Zumba class.
  24. Fix something in the house.
  25. Teach M something fun.
  26. Make list of 26 before 26.

Oh I like your list!! I think it's a good mix of some bigger goals and then just some fun ones that will push you to do them :) I loved Little Women, I definitely support buying a new purse, and I'm excited for your outfit posts!

I'm doing number 19... Right now. No, I do not want to go to class and no, I do not feel guilty about missing a class full of a disorganized professor and group work with people who don't care about anything. There I said it. Personal day for me!

great list! Number 24 cracks me up...if you watch as much HGTV as I used to in High School you will feel like you can make anything!

...and 25 won't be that bad. I promise!

I love this idea. I may be a copy cat and create a list of my own :) Ironically, my best friend text me yesterday and said, "Don't be alarm if i don't respond to your texts today, i'm turning my phone off. I just need peace and quiet." I'm curious to see how it worked for her - and for your too, assuming you write a post about it! ha

Keep us posted on your list accomplishments. XO

If you download the nook app on any iOS or droid device I think they give you little women for free along with the dracula if I remember right. Just a tip to help.

I finally made French macarons after several failed attempts. I ended up buying a kitchen scale and candy thermometer just to get the job done (I had to use the Italian method, as the French method always failed me). Good luck!
