Like a ton of bricks,
Things are
Going to change.
As I stand in the shower now,
I let the piping hot water wash over me.
Wash away the fear,
The nerves, the angst.
Today's the day.
The day I take a giant step forward
Out of my comfort zone
Into a new, exciting chapter of my life.
M moves in.
The man I love with so much of me
That it scares me sometimes.
But that's okay.
It wouldn't be great love
Big love, true love
If it wasn't that real love we crave
And give our hearts to.
Yes, today is the day.
I'm leaping forward with open arms and an open heart
So I can welcome home the one I love,
And I couldn't be more excited.

It's a great poem! I have to say for myself, it's the littler things that seem like a much bigger deal to me than the big things, I moved in with IC and it didn't scare me at all - but then having my phone is his name? That totally seemed like a big commitment!

I like how you captured how it's a little scary at times to make big life changes like this. I would probably have the same feelings if Tappan and I moved in together. Like I'd know it's going to be amazing, but I'd still be a little scared of the life change at the same time!
