Off to yoga I went...
Even though the instructor asked if anyone was new, I kept my mouth shut and didn't miss a beat throughout the class. She gave little speeches to reassure us that if we fell out of a position, then it didn't mean we were failures. It takes great strength to keep our focus and go right back for the position. So with that in mind, I didn't feel discouraged when I lost my balance. I just kept going!
I didn't sweat as profusely as I thought I would, but I did sweat a lot. And I stretched and moved and balanced in ways that I didn't think were possible. The afterglow was immediate. Already, I felt my muscles relaxed and my mind at ease, ready to start a new week. If you're a runner, I highly recommend this form of yoga because you sweat like when you run, but you stretch (and do a little strength training and balance coordination) for over an hour and a half.
Have you ever taken a hot yoga class? I had taken a vinyasa hot yoga class, but I definitely think I like the bikram version better. Good thing I can still take 4 more classes!

That sounds amazing.
Isn't it a heck of a class?!
I just love the feeling after you've completed Bikram yoga. So glad you got to try it!
First of all - I need to hop on the Groupon thing!
I always hear about such great deals.
And I also keep hearing about this hot yoga...it kinda scares me lol.
I like cool? yoga...guess I need to branch out!
Happy Wednesday!
xo
i have always wanted to do this! how cool!
I never admit to being new! My gym offers that class, so maybe I'll check it out this weekend.
I love hot yoga! I always feel so good afterwards! And ready for a nap all at the same time.
I've never taken any yoga classes but this one sure does sound interesting. I have zero balance so maybe trying out yoga will help me get some!
PS. You are almost half way through your 24 before 24 congratulations!
Wow this sounds amazing! I've never tried hot yoga before. I think I would suck at the balance but it would probably be really good for me.
I love yoga, but I've never taken hot yoga. I don't know of anywhere around me tht offers it. I'm now on a mission to find it though! Sounds amazing!!!

I've never been brave enough to try hot yoga but you make it sound enticing enough that I might just need to check it out. Glad it was just what you needed!
I've been DYING to take a hot yoga class! I'm thinking I'll take one over the summer when I have more time, but I can't wait!
I've never been to Bikram yoga. I don't have a studio near me that offers it. I'm glad you had a good experience I've heard of some questionable teaching practices. I always feel better in class when teachers understand that we are human and welcome mistakes. Good groupon!
I've never been to a Bikram yoga class. I've heard it's more intense, is that right? I've always been a fan of Vinyasa myself.
I prefer "warm" yoga, because hot yoga makes me lightheaded and pass out. Any school that supports Baptiste-style power yoga tends to be pretty awesome. I like yoga as a work out.
I have never taken any yoga class but maybe after baby #2 I will think about it. Good job for making another item off your list!
I've never taken hot yoga and can barely get through my 30 min yoga dvd!
I tried Bikram one time, it was a GREAT sweat!! And I was more sore than I had expected the next day :)
I'm a scaredy cat. it's true.
That's pretty intense, I don't think I could do this. :P
My girlfriend took yoga for a while. Apparently she really enjoyed it.
i've wanted to but never had...maybe something to add to my list!
