Ginormous Secret Reveal

A couple weeks ago, I got the phone call I had been waiting for. I had envisioned it many times. I pictured myself crying when the phone call came, but I never thought it would be in the pouring rain. And I never thought it would be on the most depressing day of the year, according to Jenni's post.

M had just signed offline when I got a text asking when I was leaving work because he had something to tell me. My stomach dropped. Something bad happened. As I was mid-text back to him, he signed back online to ask when I was leaving the office. I told him 15 or so minutes, but would call when I left. I continued to finish my work for the day, in no hurry to call him.

As I stepped out into the pouring rain, I called. We made small talk about the weather and what he was doing and then he says, "I got it." And being the lady that I am, I responded "You're shitting me."

The conversation that ensued will always be somewhat of a blur. Maybe it was the shock or the fog and rain, but I seemed to gasp for air, while I cried and had the biggest smile on my face repeating how happy I was for him and for us.

I won't go into details of what or where or when or how because this is bigger than an amazing career move for him. This means we get to start a life together, in the same city under the same roof. The distance is O-V-E-R!

I am so beyond grateful that I can't even formulate the words to express it right now. I've learned from this that I probably have a really ugly cry when I'm as happy as I am right now.

So for those of you who guessed correctly, yes, M and I will be in the same town. And yes, M and I will be moving in together. Thank you all for your sweet, sweet comments! We are so very happy! Now let the countdown begin until he's here!
