Spinning became one of my favorite workouts after my freshman year at Syracuse. I had gained the freshman seven and wanted to get back down to my healthy and happy weight. I joined a gym and tried spinning. Let's just say I got bitten with the spinning bug. I lost the weight really quickly and ab definition appeared! Who would have thought?
It took me almost four years to realize that I wanted to teach classes. But a kneecap dislocation delayed that certification by about eight months. Then in August (of 2010), I crossed #6 off my list. I'm still working on actually teaching my own classes, or at least substituting, but that's just perfectly fine with me.

Spinning is so fun! I am only really motivated to go to the gym with a buddy or if I take a class. I wish I could take a class that you teach!
Wow! Now THAT is respectful. Spinning kicks my booty every time I try a class. You go girl!
Ive always wanted to teach exercise classes! HAHA! Maybe I really can! :)
congrats! sounds like fun!
I really wanted to get certified to be a group-fit instructor too but I didn't realize how HARD it would be. Getting certified through ACE is comparable to going to med school (not really but DANG). So anyway, I have the books & I took the class but taking the test is going to have to wait
I love spinning! Great workout! :)
Congrats! I've never taken a spin class but I know people swear by it!
WOW congrats! I've only taken one spin class but enjoyed it! in college I used to teach kickboxing!
Woo that's awesome!! I've never done a class; frankly, it scares the crap outta me! LOL
Your energy is amazing Amanda! And it's so great that you set your mind to achieving these goals and then follow through...very inspiring ;)
Awesome! Didn't realize you were certified, this is also one of my longer term goals!
